Juan Manuel Ahuactzin

Since 2005 Juan Manuel Ahuactzin is Research Director of the Probayes Company. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the Institut Polytechnique National de Grenoble (INPG), France. His main research interests include areas of robotics and Bayesian technology. Now days, he works in two European projects: “Bayesian Approach to Cognitive Systems” (BACS) and “Prediction and interpretation of human behaviour based on probabilistic structures and heterogeneous sensors“(Prometheus).

Mario Cimoli

Mario Cimoli is Economic Officer at Division of Productive Development and Management at ECLAC, Chile. He earned his D.Phil. degree at the University of Sussex. He was associate Professor of Economics at the University of Venice and later visiting Professor of “Economics of Technological Innovations” at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico.

 

Steve Fuller

Steve Fuller is Professor of Sociology at the University of Warwick, England. He was previously Professor of Sociology & Social Policy at the University of Durham and Associate Professor of Science &Technology at Virginia Tech and the University of Pittsburgh, USA.

Graciela Elena Gutman

Graciela Elena Gutman is Vice-Director of National Council of Scientific and Technical Research- CONICET, Argentina. She is an advisor to a wide variety of national and international institutions (Ministry of Economy of Argentina, CEPAL, FAO, FIDA, etc.) and is Professor at the Buenos Aires University. Her research interests include Biotechnologies and Agro-industries related issues of Regulations, Enterprise strategies and Systemic Relations.

 

Roberto López Martínez

Roberto López Martínez is a research associate at the Institute of Engineering at the National University of Mexico. He earned his PhD at the Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester, UK with a dissertation on “Policy research in engineering, science and technology”.

 

Ineke Malsch

Ineke Malsch is Founder and Director of Malsch Techno Valuation, a consultant specialising in Technology Assessment of new technologies including nanotechnology, life sciences and other emerging technologies in their societal context. The company has a track record of international and national collaboration projects and publications. Ineke Malsch was before also Research Fellow at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies at the Joint Research Centre, European Commission.

Javier Medina

Javier Medina is a Professor of the Universidad del Valle, Colombia. He is Head of the National Program on Technological and Industrial Foresight - COLCIENCIAS in Colombia.

 

Maria Nedeva

Maria Nedeva is the Faculty Associate Dean for Graduate Education of the Faculty of Humanities of Manchester Business School, UK. Since 1992 she has been with PREST (Manchester Institute of Innovation Research), where she is now Senior Lecturer. She earned her PhD degree in Science Studies and Policy from the Victoria University of Manchester.

 

Ana Maria Pacon

Ana Maria Pacon is an International Consultant on Intellectual Property. She is currently a Professor of Law at the Catholic University of Peru. She was Researcher of the Max-Planck-Institute of Munich, Germany, until she became the President of the Tribunal for the Defense of the Free Competition and Protection of the Intellectual Property of the National Patent Office of Peru (Indecopi).

 

Carlota Pérez

Carlota Pérez is Honorary Research Fellow at Science and Technology Policy Research (SPRU), University of Sussex, UK. She is also Visiting Senior Research Fellow at Centre for Financial Analysis and Policy (CFAP), Judge Business School, Cambridge University, UK, and Professor of Technology and Socio-economic Development at the Technological University of Tallinn, Estonia.

 

Sebastián Rovira

Sebastián Rovira is a Researcher at the Division of Production, Productivity and Management at the ECLAC-United Nations, Chile. He is also Researcher at the University of Siena, Italy.

  

Piotr Stankiewicz

Piotr Stankiewicz is a researcher at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland. He earned his PhD degree in Sociology 2008. His research interests centre at Science and Technology Studies, Science Governance and New Technologies.

 

Judith Sutz

Judith Sutz is the Academic Coordinator of the University Research Council of the University of the Republic, Uruguay and Professor of Science, Technology and Society in the Faculty of Social Sciences. She was the Secretary of Science, Technology and Development of the Latin American Commission of Social Sciences and a member of the Task Force on Science, Technology and Innovation of the UN Millennium Development Project.


Hebe Vessuri

Hebe Vessuri is a Senior Researcher and Head of the Department of Science Studies at Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), Caracas, Venezuela. She is a pioneer sociologist of science in Latin America, and her special fields of interest are environmental anthropology and knowledge systems.

 

Daniel Villavicencio

Daniel Villavicencio earned a PhD in Industrial Sociology from the University of Lyon, France with a dissertation on “Technology Transfer and the construction of savoir-faire in foreign enterprises in Mexico” in 1989. Since 1990 he is professor and researcher at the Universidad Autonóma Metropolitana (UAM) in Mexico City

 

Edgar Zayago

Edgar Zayago Is Researcher at the Latin American Nanotechnology & Society Network at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, Mexico.
In 2007 he was visiting researcher in the EU Program NANOFORUMEULA.  In 2008 he worked at the Research Insitute MESA+ at the University of Twente. Besides he also cooperated with indigenous communities to support the building of cooperatives.
