As an activity of the EULAKS project the Latin American Faculty for Social Sciences in Mexico (FLACSO-Mexico) organised in  2009 a summer school on the “Role of the Social Sciences in the Construction of the Knowledge-based Society”. As a major outcome of the summer school the young researchers who participated composed a joint eBook including articles on their reflections on the future of the knowledge-based society based on their specific field of research.
